A LIFE IN DANCE

Through this danced conference, the audience is invited to enter the artistic universe of Rosa Mário — dancer, choreographer, and artistic director of the DESCOBRIR company — and to journey alongside her through the paths that have shaped her language of movement.

From her native Mozambique to France, her trajectory traces a singular path, between roots and metamorphoses.

Nourished by multiple influences — Mozambican traditions, contemporary practices, transmissions, and artistic collaborations — Rosa Mário develops an embodied dance, traversed by questions of identity, memory, cultural circulation, and transformation.

Conceived as a hybrid form between speech and movement, A DANCED LIFE weaves together life storytelling, danced demonstrations, historical contexts, and choreographic gestures. The audience discovers the key stages of a committed artistic journey, as well as the resonances between disciplines, territories, and heritages. It is a sensitive voyage through life and the world, guided by dance and movement.
